XP: 1200 The werelion
is one of the few good aligned lycanthropes in existance. They themselves
physically can take one three forms: a tall robust human (notable physical
features include a thick mane of blonde hair. Older males have long
thick beards. male werelions always have a deep moving voice in both
human and manlion forms),
a mighty and noble hybrid manlion, and a somewhat large lion. Most male
werelions follow the ways of the paladin and have all the abilities
of a level 7 paladin while elders and kings may be higher (9th-12th
with additional Hit dice and spells to boot). While they try to stay
away from affairs of humans, many have been known to save human lives
if in danger. Werelions have no love for their evil brethren and will
kill any evil lycanthrope it comes in contact with - often leaving
whatever mission he is on to slay it. They dispise werewolves most
of all and will go to any length to kill one or a pack. They have great
respect for werebears and other good-aligned lycanthropes and will
not interfere with those of Nuetral alignment. Combat:
werelions prefer to fight as manlions with their sword, prefferably
a long sword or bastard sword. Treat any one sword on their person
as a magical holy avenger +2 (not +5) with all the latent powers that
go with it. These swords are always made of silver and do double damage
on evil lycanthropes. They also wear speacially made plate mail that
flexes through changes from human, manlion, or full lion without seriously
injuring the werelion when changing. Habitat:
Werelions are most abundant in the plains of africa and arslan (third
world asia\india) but have spread out to some other areas of the world
such as the plains of Pao in noram. They most commonly travel in packs
of 5 to 30 (5d6) and are semi-nomadic. Males are viewed as the authority\warriors\hunters
of the pack while the females rear cubs and do domestic work. Some
werelion young are known for spending a part of their life in human
dwellings to the point of having children with a human woman\male.
Such liasons end up with normal, yet strong (+1 str) human babies with
natural infravision. To this day, scientist and scholars argue over
why werelion\human couplings have normal human children and not werelions. Most werelions
live to be around 70-80 years as does a human. Part

everything listed here is considered to have what I call Mega-damage.
Actually MD comes from Rifts\palladium games but I'm a sucker for
stealing ideas from other games :) or at least the name. It basically
works like this: MD creatures\constructs take no damage from steel
weapons - most won't even scratch them. Magical versions suffer
the same effect. If in a regular ad&d setting, mithril weapons
will do half normal damage while adamant and stronger alloys will
do full damage.
