The sparks believe that modern society is a necessary evil, but that our methods don't necessarily have to be as harsh on our surroundings as we often make them. They are not against machines in themselves, and embrace magitech wholeheartedly for what it can do for mankind. Their objection is to the careless disposal of waste related to manufacturing and the smoke that pours from the smokestacks of many of these plants. The city Geyon is a living example of just what they want to avoid. Oily smoke makes whole quarters of the city all but uninhabitable. The smoke pours downwind, carrying the stench for miles.

The sparks are the use of magimotive vehicles as long as they are kept to established paths and especially are fond of the magitech heaters that do not burn wood or coal. They believe in balance in all things, and rightfully feel that we have tipped the scales far too much already.

The majority of the Sparks are elves, many of them wood elves.
