The Magipunks
The magipunks,
or simply punks, have developed from a disorganized group of delinquent
youth to a coherent organization with a direction and an agenda for the
future of Asterland. They envision a world where technology becomes the
means for control by them and ease by the hand of technology in all its
forms.
They are
aware of Jera's true history and how far from the truth the people
of the world have been misled. They study the artifacts of the past,
leading many archeological ventures into various parts of Asterland
and the surrounding area. They know the true nature of the time spheres
that dot many parts of the countryside. They delve into research on
how to burst these bubbles, the best way of getting artifacts which
have not been ravished by time. Sand, dirt, and plants hide many of
these, while others stand starkly on their own, unhidden to the searching
eyes of those that want above all, to know the truth about the past
of Jera.
One
Elgo Brytta, a former asassin turned wizard, pushes his theory that
the scrying mirrors used to gaze into the future of Jera instead look
back upon its past. Formerly a dean of Grunburg University of the Arcane,
Elgo lost his position for taking directions thought too radical andasier
life, and the longing for travel soften the public view as to the acceptability
of machines of most every type.
Marli "Shooter" Caliphe,
proposed early on in the formation of the Punks' society, called
The Rupture, that automotons would prove the best slaves possible.
Once free to pursue his own ideas within the save haven of the Gnome
society, he began creating intellegent golems for purposes both useful
and military alike. Hidden from the knowledge of the Gnomes, the
one ingredient for making the creatures think is nothing less than
human or gnome brains. His assistant Gorlrig Austerra, the stereotypical
hunchback and otherwise undesirable little man, digs up graves in
search of brains to put into the terrible robots.
Marli
dreams of eventually creating towering horrors to control the lands,
putting under any opposition to the dreaded killing machines that know
no fear or mercy. Marli himself is driven and hungry for power. He
has a weakness for loose women, and often spends his time with floozies,
especially the sultry Aunne Kabine, an elven prostitute punker.
She stands
out dramatically, draped in furs and her short, beaded silver-blue
hair of the winter elves. Her attitudes could be best summed up as
self- serving, manipulative, bitch without a trace of morals. She is
a powerful seductress, dabbling in witch-craft to pull men into her
arms and their wallet from them. She stands a noticable 6' tall, long
curvacious legs making up much of the length of the height.
